Nov 15, · One song, Hurtling Through, was a song Fullbrook wrote and recorded with Hamish Kilgour of The Clean – a great, if chronically underrated, New Zealand band. I was pleased to be reminded of them and it reinforced for me that beyond the Finns and Lorde, New Zealand has always had a rich and highly original music scene. Despite finally emerging as a solo performer, Kilgour's collaborative spirit was still strong, and in he teamed with Tiny Ruins to record the Hurtling Through EP, and in he played drums with the indie rock band Roya on their self-titled album.
